For a one year period it was the 1999 Rams.
For a multi-year priod I would give the nod to the San Diego Chargers from 1979 through 1985.

1998-1999 Denver Broncos. All World QB John Elway, 2000 yard rusher Terrell Davis, 2-1000 yard receivers Eddie Mac and Rod Smith, All World TE Shannon Sharpe, a bull of a FB Howard Griffith, and one of the best O-lines to ever be assembled. That offense was absolutely unstoppable.

That, of course, would be the West Coast offense of the 80s San Francisco 49ers of Bill Walsh and Joe Montana

either the early 90's 49ers, the mid 90's 49ers, the mid 90's cowboys, the 70's steelers, the late 90's early 2000's rams, the brazil international team (soccer), usc football team with matt lienart and reggie bush. don't forget the mid 90's kentucky basketball team. they won 2 national championships and outscored their opponents in the championships by a combined 40 points (they went undefeated both national championship seasons)
