I have read some of these questions and think maybe it was the phrasing of it that made it sound stupid, but then who am I to think it stupid....

Well, some of the questions that are put on here just don't make any sense and some of them are more like comments than questions. However, in general, no I don't think there are any stupid questions. If you want to know something the best thing to do is to ask and if you don't because you think it might sound stupid, then you'll never know the answer so then what's stupid?.....not asking. There is no such thing as a stupid question but there are certainly stupid answers!

Yes, there are plenty of stupid questions and they all find their way to Psychology. People love to play games when others want to offer their time to help. Mostly, I give up and go to Polls and Surveys, Music or something that's merely fun and meaningless. Yahoo cannot patrol the abusers adequately and the real people wander away. Yes, these questions are phony for the most part. It's embarrassing to read the answers from the ones who fall for it too. Good Luck.

Stupidity is in the eye of the beholder. Generally, people don't ask questions thinking, "oh man, my question is really stupid," but sometimes they do. It all depends on who is reading the question and how much patience they have :P

Stupid questions don't exist. Like you said the wording of some questions makes them sound stupid, but, really aside from that there are no stupid questions.

There are no stupid questions if the person asking doesn't know the answer and thinks he/she should. On the other hand, there ARE a number of dumb questions being asked here I assume for entertainment purposes.

ok that was a stupid question. or how many dollars are in a dollar? see I believe there are such things as stupid questions.
