Yes. You need to be taught how to deal properly in order to get a job, and dealer's school is the place to learn.

To get a dealing job you need to pass an audition on a live game. They will evaluate you based on industry standards for game protection and procedures. They don't care about your customer service, personality or game speed, just can you protect their assets, and follow the rules.

They expect you to know 2 games minimum to get a job: That means BJ and either Craps or Roulette. The other card games (3 card poker, let it ride, Carribean Stud, etc.) don't matter, cause they're easy to learn and are collectively referred to as "carnival games" in the biz.

There are plenty of schools in most towns that have casinos, and it'll cost you around $1000 to learn 2 games. Slightly more if you want to learn craps.
