when i first met my boyfriend he used to take so much pride in himself, now weve been together nearly 2 yrs (which isnt long, but we do have a 9mth old baby!) and hel bath maybe twice a week if IM lucky, i dont even wanna think about how often he changes his underwear, he really smells and i tell him and he thinks im joking! we hardly ever have sex coz of this and i tell him if he has a bath and smells a bit sweeter then yeh, but its a case of more than one bath a day may just do the job, he has also put on a lot of weight and he says hes gunna start excersing but it never happens, he doesnt start work until 2pm so he has know excuse, i go swimming walking and horse riding aswell as looking after the baby, if anyone should have an excuse to be fat and smelly it should be me!!! (i also bath everyday!) how can i get it through to him to buck his ideas up, ive told him ill be looking for a cleaner model, but he still thinks im joking!

Hello,
well there is no excuse for a man to have a smelly body, your man needs to be re-educated, might sound funny this, and you may even laugh at my remarks, but this is because I don't want to offend anyone, 1st take the plug off the chain in the bath, and put it with all the soap in another room, wrap the plug and soap in a couple of really clean and fresh smelling towels, and put that lot wherever he keeps his underwear, write on a square foot of card, the words "HINT--HINT" and only tell him where the plug.soap and underwear is when he asks where any one of them is to be located in this house.... and if he is any good at taking "HINTS2 he should by all accounts use them all if he finds the bundle all in one place, then when he does find them, smile gently towards him and offer to wash his back, and ask if he would just love it if you pwdered him all over after a very long and sweetly smelling bath....... ha ha ha ha ( very polite chuckle) this just might work, then the two of you just go on out and have a lovely dinner, and let nature do all the rest for you both, have fun, stay in love and very good luck to you both, and this----> X is from me ......... well if you notice this then other people must notice too see i dont have this problem my partner showers everyday so but my brother on the other hand does not have a bath for months and i know what smell your on about and its hard too tell him too because my brother still lives with my mother and she has to actually be horrible to him and say go and have a bath you smell really bad she goes to the pub sometimes and she tells him if he does not bath then he cant go toi the pub with her when i go to visit i cant sit near him the smell is so bad i think you should sit him down and tell that you liked it before when he used to look after himself and ask him why he is letting him self go and maybe he is depressed so it might be an idear if he went to the doctor

Generally speaking men are not as interested in pruning themselves as we women, but some men are extremely clean, for the most part if they take one shower a week they are convinced they will sparkle for a long time .As people perspire at different levels I would lay down the law ,or else!!! as for under clothes that would have to be a 'must'and no two ways about it . If anything should happen when their out on the roads ,Im not taking the blame for the mess their in . this has always worked for me . I think with this one 'action speaks louder than words,'.

some men can be lazy. refuse to sleep with him. ask him why when you do the washing you have numerous pairs of underwear but he only has one. you might shame him into some hygeine. if he is too thick skinned to take a hint run him a bath and tell him to get in it because he stinks. if he laughs about it, tell him you're not joking. tell him he can't sleep in the same bed as you because you are fed up of changing the sheets too often because he is making it dirty and smelly. if all else fails throw him out!

Sit him down and talk to him. First thing, tell him you're not joking. Then explain to him that his bathing habits are getting to be a problem (and a total turn-off) for you. As far as the weight goes, that's going to happen. If you can't deal with it, it's not gonna last. Do you want him to love you when you're 60 and have gray hair and saggy boobs that hang to your knees? You need to let that go.

But the hygiene thing, I would push.

normal people shower at least once a day. the guy i've recently been involved with would shower up to 3 times a day when the weather was hot in summer.
i wouldn't let a man near me that didn't have good personal hygiene, it's just not nice!

why don't you make him think you are going to have your wicked way with him but insist you do it in the bath or shower?

Stop saying men like we're all the same as your boyfriend. Just cos he's smelly you suddenly classify men in that class.

I have to say I shower and shave every day, clean clothes and everything, tell him whats wrong or you'll leave that way he knows your not joking. Not all men are fat and lazy, unhygienic etc

i am agree whit you that the main point if he love you and really love you then should he try to chage his habit and try to chinge his mind i don't know you tell which way if you tell to try him with love and care and may be he understand your point of view but i think its not be over to that that big problem i know specially smell and that really not good manners but if you try with care and love and and he will lose his wight and also change his habits
and that not main reason for leave some one OK you like cleanness and you try to change him

more than one bath a week is greater than the average, a daily shower can be part of a blokes routine, but you may have excessive cleanliness expectations? the best one can do is to demand he spray before bed?
