The war in Iraq transcends party lines. Some GOP congressmen and senators see the war as a lose/lose situation. The light at the end of the tunnel is a car bomb. The war keeps getting worse, Americans keep dying, we are being sucked into a war with Iran now, corruption abounds and billions of our tax dollars have been stolen, the civil war which Bush downplayed is raging, OBL is still free.
Bush will forever be remembered as the president as in charge when the worst foreign policy blunder (invading Iraq) was ever made.
American will rue this war for years.

America makes it's own enemys. If America treated them right they would be friends and customers, but instead America sets up to steal their oil and land and the people being trespassed upon rightfully hate it. If you comfort your enemy they become your friend. There's no need to have enemys at all, if you just treat people right. Sure it would take a while for your enemys to trust you again and become your friends. Generations would be required after you've blow them to pieces, shock and awe style, but you have to start somewhere. Hopefully the warmonger republicans are starting to realize that.

I reject the unsupported premise in your troll question that republicans and democrats united on the fight against terrorism and against our occupation of Iraq are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Frankly it is your kind of jackass demagogic question that mischaracterizes and disrespects the serious people serving in Congress which does a disservice to all Americans.

I guess the Republicans want to get elected and not be in danger of extinction like the Federalist and Whig parties before them. Smart move! When U.S.imperialist forces leave Muslim and Arab lands, there will be no more enemy. These are good people. They are a religious people. Nothing wrong with these people. They have children and raise families. They believe that God is Great! Certainly, you cannot have a beef about that.

Many Republicans, like the majority of Democrats, are sick and tired of seeing their country being dragged through the mud to satisfy the inflated ego of the president of the United States.

They know Dem's have the majority of power ,and the Republicans are sucking up to them to get on their good side so they can pass their own pet projects ...kind of like "you scratch my back, and I will scratch yours" it is how crooks ..I mean politicians get their own personal agenda achieved ..

I wouldn't say they are giving aid to the enemy, but they are agreeing with the democrats in calling for a retreat. A retreat is exactly what it is. I would have more respect for them if they would admit that that is what they want.
