Okay see my ipod was working fine, the battery was low and i didnt recharge it.So then it shut off, and it show the sign that lets you know it has no battery left. So tehn i charge it and the screen doesn;t turn on. Has this happened to you? What did you do. I have WIndows idk what this has to do but still. I have the ipod video 30GB. This happened to my sisters ipod except her still turns on but shuts off and doesnt turn on in a while

I would restore the iPod's firmware. If you have iTunes 7, then you can do this by plugging in your iPod and then clicking 'Restore' on the iPod menu inside iTunes. If you have an earlier version of iTunes, then open up the iPod Updater application and click 'Restore'.

Note that this will clear all of the data off your iPod (including music and video), but this will all copy back onto your iPod once it has restored the firmware.

It happened to me and I just had to reset it.

Do this by turning on the hold button and then off again. Then press the menu button and center button at the same time. You might have to try it a couple of times.

push the menu button and the select button at the same time until the apple comes onto the screen. this will restart your ipod. nothing will get lost though.
