My computer is freakin loud.

I know it's the fan, and plan on replacing it.

Is it the case fan or the power supply fan? The case fan is the one I think is making all the noise. The case fan is indeed the one on the very back that is rather large, correct?

Any tips for instalation or what kind of fan to buy?

it very well might be the case fan, and yes, the one in the middle on the back is a case fan. In buying a new one, the higher the CFM (cubic feet/minute), the more air it's pushing, and the cooler it'll make your case. THe other thing you want to look at is how much noise it makes, which is the number next to dB. You ideally want a fan with high CFM and low db. 120mm fans tend to be good about that, but are rather large. 80mm fans are cheaper, if a little bit louder. Stick your ear right at the back of the computer, I mean it. You'll be able to tell which direction the noise is coming from. If you can't, it may be the processor fan. If you find that it's one or the other, you can replace case fans but for power supplies you have to replace the whole power supply - take either one to a computer parts store and ask them to help you find an exact replacement.

in the adventure that your figuring out to purchase a potential furnish an similar length as tge previous one, you don't want to regulate the fan. basically unscrew it then screw it again on the different potential furnish. in case you'll improve to a higher potential furnish, then you quite would prefer to characteristic a sparkling fan
