BECAUSE it started with a newspaper called 'the world' or something like that I think in Chicago and that paper put up the first series.

Don't worry I won't kill you. Ok in major league baseball there are two leagues, the American League and the National League. The Yankees and the Red Sox are in the American League while the Rockies and the Mets are in the National League. I also read that article but I read it from Comcast. Makes sense. I think many people do that, going for the team that is in the same league as their team. There are some exceptions, through. I am a fan of the Detroit Tigers, who play in the American League, but I am going for the Rockies simply because of the amazing way they made it into the playoffs. Winning 15 of 16 games to make it into the postseason? That is incredible! No team has ever done anything like that before, ever.

It's not - the World Cup of Baseball has teams from 16 different countries each time it's held, and it's never been hosted by the United States.

Not true. The Toronto Blue Jays won it in 1992 and 1993

there are the Blue Jays who play in Toronto(Canada)and there where the Expos but they are in Washington DC now,but I've heard rumors about possibly a Puerto Rican team coming in soon. And to be honest I don't know why they call in the World Series but thats just what they call it.

It's actually called the World Series. Canadian teams could play too, but they aren't good enough.

Well, not completely. There are two Canadian teams, Montreal and Toronto.
But it would be more exciting if we included DOminican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela and especially Japan.
