then why the hell do any of you want the government in charge of health care?

Personally, I would go with the traditional American train of thought here.... it you want something, get off your *** and earn it. But regardless of your views on seeing everyone with health coverage, why do you want a "corrupt" (your word, not mine) government in charge?

The fact that somebody asked "what are you trying to say" says a lot about that person.... It pretty straight-forward folks... Don't ask a government that is ineffecient, and at times corrupt, to take care of your health needs. Take care of yourselves and stop begging other people to pay for your wants and needs.

Here is the only one reason why government health care is a good idea.

In capitalism, their is profits taken out of the money pool.

Many of the corporations in medicine are making billions.

If all medicine was socialized, that money would not leave in profits.

There are many negatives to socialized medicine. People at the bottom benefit more than people at the top. There are only limited resources and you can not distribute things equally. Plus doctors would not want to be doctors if they were not compensated well. The quality of care will go done for sure.

I wish the system was simple to fix, however both systems are full of flaws

Why should we give tax/earned dollars away to Corporate entities without oversight or regulation at the whim of lobbyists who co-write pro-corporate legislation? The total administrative costs of Blue Cross Blue Shied in the State of Massachusetts are equal to the total administrative cost of the Country of Canada for Christ's sake!!

What we have now is absurd. We are the only industrialized nation without a National Health care program. We have all the other nation's as examples to pick and choose the best policies from and develop are own. The only folks against National Health Care are Hospitals, Doctors, Insurance Companies and the Pharmacueticals--Go figure.

what are you trying to say ? that the government isn't corrupt ? That the poor and working people dont really need health care ? that the medical profession is motivated by ideals and not corporate insane greed ? in the real world you fight in your free time a crook is fighting 24 7 for their life. that much is the same in A democracy as it is in A dictatorship, you hope that those people like Washington are in charge but sometime s you get a pustule like Clinton or bush

The world is full of liars, thieves and criminals. Congress is just a fair representation of the ruling classes.

You actually think it costs $125 for a syringe? Or $50 for an ACE bandage? I think the people running those hospitals are also liars, thieves and criminals. Why the hell are they in charge of healthcare? The problems run both ways.

I don't think people who work for a living and still cannot afford adequte health care are begging anyone to pay for their healthcare!!

In a country as wealthy as America is there should be no one who cannot be covered for basic needs whatever they be!!!

I'd prefer to R2 (remove and replace) the entire executive and legislative branches and start anew. Acquire 25 million signatures to authorize removal of everyone from office coupled with a two year freeze on legislation while we find the replacements.

The govt is in charge of health care for everyone over 65, and those disabled. It's called Medicare, and enrollees are more satisfied than people with private insurance.

Why have the government in chage of anything then? The government spends far more on military ventures than it does welfare and health care, but no cons want 'military spending reform', why is that?
