hi hun - the wife is telling me what to write here.
It does sound like you had a period - they will take time to get back in to regular sync so don't panic. They do say though that if one test is negative and you still have all the symptoms a few days later that you should repeat the test.
If you have any health concerns you should go to the doctors - it's for them to tell you that you are wasting their time.
Good luck and i hope things go well for you!

Try and remember everyone is different. My doc told me Depo could linger in my system for up to 12 months after my last injection. I got pregnant almost immediately after I decided to go off of it (so in the 3rd month when I would normally go back for another shot, I got pregnant). I never had a regular period or had any idea when I had ovulated. This was 10 years ago, however, so I sure they have improved/changed/modified the Depo during the course of that time.
There is a possibility that since your periods are not regulated yet, that you indeed DID have a period, even though it was short. That could ALSO indicate implantation bleeding, as well. I would suggest going to your doctor and have an exam - if its been a year since you went off, you are due for one anyway. :)
Also, since you took a test and it was negative, but you do NOT know your cycle yet, there is the possibility you tested too soon, as well. You won't know until you head to your Doc.
Good Luck!

I took the depo one time in october of 05 and didnt get a period again til november 15th 06 it really sucks cause we want a baby...anyways i went to the doctor nothing wrong they just said the depo had to wear off...and they gave me provera to start it but then that didnt work either...then they wanted me to come back and get a different kinda med but it was going to cost like 400 dollers cause at the time my insurance had expired but we got it back..anyways ididnt end up doing that instead i went to a herb place and they told me to take vitex and super primerose and idid...and within two weeks i had my first period...ive been pretty regular ever since..still not pregnant but..i do have periods...so it least we have a shot every mo nth...get another test take it ..and if its negative invest a littl emoney in the vitex...goodluck its hard i know:) lots of baby dust on both of us!!

I was on depo before my third child, just for a year like you but after my last injection which was March 99 it took until Dec 99 to get my period back, it then took until March 2001 for me to concieve with my little girl, the people I know who have had this injection and then gone on to have a child have all said similar around a year for the periods to return and another year to become pregnant, I know it seems a long time away but it will arrive, it does sound to me like your periods are returning

I had my last depo injection in September 2005. My periods came back properly after about 6 months, however we are still trying for a baby without success. My doctor told me that if nothing happened after 12 months to go back and see them and they would start doing tests.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I guess it could take your body a few months to settle down after coming off your contraception so I wouldnt worry to much, you can help your body prepare for pregnancy by taking folic acid, eating healthily and citting out cigarettes and alcohol. Being over or under weight can also reduce fertility. It can take 18mths for a healthy couple to get pregnant so try and not stress yourself out. I am sure it will happen when the time is right. Good luck

give yourself a break the more stressed you get the less chance of you falling pregnant.over the next 3 months relax take vitamins and enjoy spending time intamite time with your partner.the more relaxed and comfortable you are the higher chance of you falling.i tried for a few years after istopped having the depo i was desperate to bare a child it took over my life it ruined my health and my relationship.one day i decided enough was enough i was running myself into the ground.so i stopped trying and got on with things.AND I FORGOT ABOUT TRYING!!! 9 weeks later i felt sick and my breast hurt like mad i ran to the chemist and bought 3 tests(just to be on the safe side)there was that blue line that i had craved for. my point is dont try to hard you are only human after all.life is for living and being happy. not stressfull and sad ......good luck and god blessxxxxxxxxxxx
