Hello,
My Honda Accord 2002 has been in the garage for 6 months and not started. Tonight I need to take it out, do I need to do anything special before I start to drive it again?

Speak nicely to her. Tell her you are sorry that you've neglected her but you really really need her help and, if she does this for you - just this once - you will take her on a nice long drive over the weekend - just you and her.
Other than that, it might be just worth checking the fluid levels (oil and water). Worst case scenario is that something has seized and you won't really know that until you start the engine.
Good luck!

No but yes I would check the oil but I would let it run for a bit before taking off because it has been sitting for a while I would say do an oil change but if you do not know how not to worry it will be fine it would also be a good idea to put some fresh oil in as-well if you do not have time for that then just let it run for a bit

put a liitle oil in the the engine, maybe 1/4 quart, u dont want too much. the valves are probably void of any lubrication. Turn the key to the on position for about 5 seconds to allow the fuel pump to build any pressure that might be lost and start it normally.

the only ingredient cpr hrrs and that i agree on is exchange the oil. changing the air on your tires will do no sturdy. If achievable, have somebody to place the automobile on blocks so no weight is on the tires. positioned some gasoline stabilizer in the gasoline tank. working the engine won't save the gasoline clean: only stabilizer or new gasoline will. It does no longer harm in case you've somebody initiate it a week or so and positioned it in equipment for a jiffy, yet this would be to maintain seals from drying out and cracking.

If it will start, let it run for a few minutes (with the garage door OPEN) to get the oil circulating through the engine again. Check your tires to make sure they havent lost any air.

I hope you drained the gas tank before you stored it cause if you didn't, your gas has gone bad and it will gum up your engine and stink not to mention it may have clogged your fuel filter/s but you may need to get a can of ether and spray a shot or two in the intake before trying to start it.

recharge the battery ,step on the gas twice before starting .
after starting let it run for half an hour.
then go to the near gas station and re fill the tank.

if something comes up let me know in another question

Jump in, start it and away you go. It is not like milk left in the fridge for 6 mo. As long as the battery is not dead you are in business.

Try to start it regularly. If that doesnt work then you have to jump start it with another car to get the battery going.
