What would you like to thank the Academy for?

"I would like to thank the Academy for giving someone like me a chance in this harsh world...I mean, how could someone who has cheekbones like mine, and perfect skin like mine...Someone who people look twice at walking down the street...How could someone like me possibly have a normal job? I was never destined for supermarket work, I guess! *self-depreciating shrug and smile*"

I would like to thank the Academy for handing out awards to movies that support its political views and alienate a significant portion of the country. I

would like to thank them for sometimes getting it right, but more often getting it wrong.

I would like the thank them for putting on a typically very long, usually boring (sans Billy Crystal years) shows.

And lastly I would like to not thank the Academy for giving another reason for Joan Rivers to get herself on the TV airwaves.

I would like to thank the Academy for never, EVER nominating Will Ferrell for anything...God knows we don't want to give this guy any additional encouragement to keep churning out horrible, unfunny movies...!
