The Business Computer Annual Ball was well under way with both the blues and booze flowing freely. “So John, you’re a vice preshident of IBM, what do you think of Henry gettin’ his new position.” slurred Alan, the head of development with the Computer Links. “I mean, here’s this guy, who got the top job, with all the prestige and money to go with it, for no other reason than who his bloody parents are.” “I think it’s ridiculous,” agreed John. “I mean really, I know for a fact he can’t read or write to save his soul and he certainly hasn’t put in an honest day’s work in his whole life! If anyone should have gotten the job, it should have been his sister!” In what situation could such an incapable person be granted the top position?
