Yes, you can burn the downloaded TV show on to a DVD. You need for that is a DVD/RW drive and a burning software, like Nero, Sonic Digital Media Plus etc..But to download the TV show you need the TV tuner card installed on your computer. The following components are must.

-TV Tuner card
- Windows XP, Windows MediaCenter
- DVD burner Drive
- DVD Burning Software
- Atleast 500 MB free space on the hard disk to download the TV shows.

And you can also check the following weblink for more information.

Lots of work involved here. But it can be done.

To make a DVD, you have to convert the video to MPEG-2 Standards

Converting is tricky, because many converters cannot convert the audio and the video at the same time, thus creating an audio/video synchronization error.

You need to use VIRTUALDUB or Cool Edit Pro 2 to extract the audio as a noncompressed WAV file.

Then you need a program like Ulead MediaStudio Pro to add the video track and the new WAV audio track.

You need to eliminate the original audio from the video, simply by splitting the audio from the video in Ulead, then deleting it.

Now create a video file (MPEG-2 NTSC). May take up to 2 or 3 hours.

Now use Nero Burning Rom to make the DVD video disk, from the MPEG file.

You would need a dvd burner program, a dvd burner drive and a dvd-rw cd. I would suggest just buying a dvd recorder for your tv and record the tv shows.

You may wish to check out a software called DVArchive. It allows you to network your Replay unit into a PC so you can down load the shows to the PC. I've used it an I love it. I can now view the shows on my PC. Not sure if it works with DirecTV DVR.

This is a tricky topic as most of this requires you to ignore copyright law.

But yes it can be done. Simply use SuperC and Nero to do it.
