Congress gets too much money from the tobacco lobby to ever ban it outright. The American people aren't concerned about whether or not a candidate smokes. The argument is fruitless and demeaning to the conversations we should be having about the course of America.

I doubt tobacco will ever be banned. I hope the government learned from Prohibition this doesn't work. And I didn't know Obama smokes.

He said that he plans on quitting. Besides, it's doubtful that a ban on smoking would be able to pass through Congress.

First of all, I like Obama, but I don't think he will be elected. Second, because he quit smoking, he didn't say he wanted a ban on it. Where are you getting your info?
