I would suggest Northhampton, MA or San Francisco, CA. I have been both places and they are 1. absolutely beautiful, and 2. have a high gay/lesbian population which is the norm, and completely accepted and embraced. I think they would be great places for you to raise your children. Best of luck.
To the person who said Los Angeles- no. Specifically West Hollywood and even Santa Monica, too- yes...very GBLT friendly, populated, and probably decent places to raise kids, but I still think the two I mentioned before are more family-friendly, as opposed to lots of singles and nightlife. I live in Los Angeles, so I know. Los Angeles in general is going to be open-minded, yes, but its not going to have a sense of community, and its actually a kind of crappy city compared to San Fran and other big places. Los Angeles overall does not have a "majority" of children in a similar family lifestyle as you mentioned.

I keep hearing about San Francisco, but mostly from people who don't live here. I've spent most of my life here. And it is insanely expensive to live here nowadays.
There are a fair amount of lesbians here. But it is primarily a gay city. An example...there are only two lesbian bars in the entire city. But there is at least a kazillion gay bars.
I'd suggest a thorough search of housing prices, both rental and purchase, before moving here.
Meanwhile, why not come visit?

Not everybody is gay in Seattle;but it's a nice place to live. The Gay pride parade had lesbian couples wheeling their strollers and everyone cheered. No one gives you a second look. It doesn't rain that much, the winters are mild. The gay/lesbian/transgendered community service organization helps newcomers get settled. Another plus is Seattle is dog friendly-dogs are allowed almost everywhere. Good luck and ignore the bigots.

Eureka Springs Arkansas is quite lesbian friendly....
Yeah, I know...it's Arkansas...but oddly enough, it's very lesbian and gay friendly...and many raise their children there. But I'll warn you...it's in the middle of nowhere and jobs are scarse. So choose wisely.

I can't say for the entire country, but in Massachusetts, try Cambridge if you like an urban setting, Northampton if you like a rural setting, and Provincetown if you like an ocean setting.
