There's no reason for the creation of earth. Earth was created when big bang occured. All the gases gathered and the earth was created. But at First the earth was just big ballon of hot gases. But after some time Earth started to cool down and the gases became hard and the Earth was created.

There is no ultimate purpose. On a long enough timeline, nothing is generally relevant. Asking such a question is seeking a general purpose to the existance of Earth. One does not exist.
