Do you think the Mets can win the world series this year? I hope so. What do you think?

If you were betting on it, I would say the teams that have the best chance at a title shot in no particular order are: Mets, Yankees, Philly, Dodgers, Cleveland (seriously), Detroit, Boston, Houston (only if they get Clemens).
Obviously one of those AL teams won't be making the postseason, but I don't think the AL West is capable of getting past other two divisions.
The Mets have a chance, not as strong as it was last year, but they still have a chance, but that is if their pitchers decide to step up.

Who can tell with the World Series? Willie Randolph said today that he thinks it's "ridiculous" to make World Series predictions and I think he's right. We just never know. But do they have a chance to win the division title again? Sure! The competition will be tighter this year, though.

They do, but not that great of a chance.
The Pedro Martinez injury put a major dent into their chances. The pitching rotation is weak and spotty. They are fortunate to be in the National League where there is no team that is really capable of winning 90 games.

Of course... Their offense is awesome but the pitching is old and shaky! Pedro will help of course, but when? Maybe they will trade for another starter. I hope they do well for Willie (an ex-Yankee) and meet in the Subway Series version 2007! This comes from a true NY Yankee fan!

The Mets have as much of a chance at winning the World Series, as I do of flatulating in my own nostrils.
(P.S. 69 doesn't work with only one person).

Yes, as long as their already shaky bullpen holds up until Pedro comes back in late July. Beltran, Delgado, Alou, Reyes, and Wright also need to continue putting up the monster numbers like they did last season.

Even the Nationals have a chance to win. That doesn't mean they will.

This is what I love about baseball, it's anyone's season once April rolls around. The Mets could go, you never know.
