I'm not dissing Country Music but I agree with you. My husband and I oftain ride around in the mountains on Sunday afternoons and he controls the radio. These songs literally ruen the trip for me! Example: There is a new song called Alyssa lies. Its about a young girl who trys to cover up her dirty clothes and bruses at school because her parents are abusive and neglectful. At the end (of course) she dies. Then that song by Conway Twitty about "some say love, is like a razor, and leavvvvvves your soul to bleed". If that wasn't bad enough some Patty Loveless song about "you hurt me bad" came on. I just want to scream sometimes. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH God, can't they be a little more upbeat. Play some skynyrd, man.

i dont think it does because i have been listening to country my whole life and im still here..... yes there are some sad songs but.... its ok
