You should avoid using a petroleum based lubricant like vaseline with a condom. However using a small amount without a condom is great! Although I am not condoning sex without a condom, they should always be worn to prevent pregnancy or much worse HIV. Try using a water based lube like Wet,or Ky jelly. Try to avoid using excessive lube as it can cause irretation to your vagina or even the urethra

Do not use any oils with condoms. If dryness is an issue try lubricated condoms. Oil can make the sex more pleasurable, depending on the type. I prefer oils that heat on contact, they increase stimulation during sex. There are other lubricants that work great, such as giving tingling sensation as well as heat. It realy depends on why you are using oil as to what kind you should use. If you have questions about the different types, don't be shy, go to your local adult store and ask the workers. They are great at explaining the differences and even suggesting a brand best for your situation.

If you are in a monogomous long-term relationship with one partner (who you trust) then it might be worth you both going to the sexual health clinic and getting checked out. If you are both in the clear, then you could stop using condoms, and just take child-birth control of some kind. If you are not in this kind of relationship, then a condom really is the best way to prevent STD's. The disadvantages of a condom is that they can break, but personally I really can't think of any other better way of having safe sex with casual/short term partners. Be careful!

Other than the mess, I have'nt experienced any problems with using oil. As far as using it with a condom, just make sure you use a lubrication that's safe to use with a condom. Because certain oils will ruin the condom

NEVER use anything oil-based with a latex condom. It degrades the latex and causes the condom to break. If you want to use something for lubrication, look for the words "water based." The package will usually tell you if it is safe to use with condoms.

You should never rub ANY substance on a condom. It weakens the material and makes them break.
What type of oil are you talking about? Like the KY massage oil?
