Hello its me again. I had two Powder Blue Tangs in my 46 gallon tank. Now there's only 1, I think it was killed. Anyways I'm thinking about getting a Blue Regal Tang. Its suppose to be more peaceful than the powder blue. Do you think the Regal Blue and the Powder Blue will get along. Or should I remove the Powder Blue all together and house a Regal Blue Tang instead? Will the Regal Blue Tang get along better with other fish and tangs in general? What about two Regal Blue Tangs? Will that work?

Tangs don't like other tangs much. They beat each other up, so the fact that one of your power blues was killed doesn't surprise me. If you had a tank that was a couple hundred gallons and they had plenty of room to keep away from each other, you could probably do it, but I'd suggest looking for another type of fish. 46 gallons isn't a very big tank for a salt water tank to begin with.

Depending on how big your current tang is, you might be able to get some other fish to mix in that don't get quite so huge. You might check in at your local petstore (provided they know about their own fish) and see what they have to offer/suggest and then research it on your own to double check (certain fish get mislabeled for their adult size and stuff)

the tangs would look small now yet in jiffy will greater desirable than outgrow a 40 six gallon tank. while tangs are their grownup length of roughly 9 inches, the two would be too super on your tank; even a million would be too super while it reaches grownup length. in case you quite need to maintain your powder blues, get a lots greater desirable tank (a minimum of one hundred fifty, ideally bigger in case you are able to) and introduce the two tangs to the tank on an identical time. in case you are able to not have the money for or don't have the area for this variety of massive tank, take the tangs lower back to the shop to procure them from & choose for some different fish which will attain lots smaller lengths while grownup. I truthfully have a 40 gallon that i only have a skunk clown, a fairy wrasse and a floppy-tail dottyback in and those 3 are greater desirable than adequate as that's.

Tangs have to be kept singly, or in large groups. If you only put a few together they will probably kill each other. Plus, your tank is a little too small for you to have two adult tangs.

If you had a big enough tank yes, but 46 gallons is hardly big enough for one tang. Its possible, but I'd expect more hardship then not.
