A lot of the illegals forge social security or green cards. There was recently a big bust that spanned 5 states, including my home state, Utah. It is unfortunate, but there are also many employers who will hire illegals just to save a buck. They just pay them cash under the table and they also don't have to pay employment taxes or for insurance, etc. To prevent this we really need to crack down on the employers, and quit giving people a reason to come here illegally.

I agree with you. The Government allows illegals to come in, use the welfare system w/o ssn# etc. Then, they take all the jobs too? Even Unions hire illegals! My husband is a Union Carpenter & every, and I mean every job is 99% Hispanic. My husband will get on a job, but if a Hispanic has a relative that needs work, they lay my man off?? I am extremely qualified as an Admin Assist/Claims Assist, but when I look up work, it says bilingual required or preferrred??
The Government must stop this crap! Fine employers that hire this illegal w/o proper documents. I feel if your not a Legal U.S. Citizen you should be deported!
Bush was on T.V. talking about "We need to give the Hispanics work permits to cross legally into the U.S. to work, that way the border agents can worry about the terrorist." Bush, you idiot, just stop the Illegals period! They just had on the news a Middle Eastern man who stole a dead Hispanic mans identity. The U.S. should really stop anyone from immigrating into the U.S. Especially after 9/11.
But that's just my opinion!

Immigrants need jobs too, they have families to feed as well. Don't forget, we are all descendants of immigrants (some illegal), and they had to find work as well to raise your (great) grand-parents so you could live here and complain about the new immigrants trying to do.
Also, they are willing to work in worse conditions with less pay, because they aren't stuck-up white people who can be on "long-term unemployment" and still survive here. Sorry, but your long-term unemployment is a load of crap. If you really wanted a job you could go down to the local McDonalds or Burger King and get a job. It might not be the best job or pay the most, but it's a job. Stop sitting on your computer complaining about it, and lower your standards a bit. For most immigrants, a job is a job and they will do whatever is necessary to support their families unlike your lazy ***.

The hoops Americans are going through are for the good jobs. Illegal immigrants get the jobs no one else wants and they get paid low wages in cash with no benefits or guarantees. Legal immigrants get the next step up in jobs and practically work for nothing with bad conditions. Blame the employers not the immigrants. They are the ones trying to make a better life for themselves. The employers are using them for their own purposes.

Easy. I use to live in California and most of the jobs are found by word of mouth. I wanted a cleaning lady and I asked a friend and she recommended her maid Yolanda. I hired Yolanda and when I needed to move her husband and friends helped me move. When my friend needed a gardener I asked Yolanda if she knew anyone and she recommended her brother-in-law, etc. People who want cheap help will hire aliens even though they don't speak the language. Every time I moved I would rent a truck from U-Haul and hire day workers which usually hang out near Home Depot. This usually cost me less than $200 and I would have paid ten times this much if I went with a moving company. There is no great level of subversion here just being practical.

There is a long, long - long history of migrant workers in this country. Migrant workers are great because not only do they work for cheap but they have years of training. Which means they are exponentially more productive than some joker off the street. It's called qualifications.
Trust me they are not going to interview for your glamorous job as a telemarketer or whatever.
It's so cute and funny to me how you use the words "evil" and "treason". It makes me think of words like "delusional" and "manipulated".

you don't seem to have a good idea of what's going on.
You don't need any of those qualifications to pick vegetables, do landscaping work, or clean houses.
Subversion? An honest day's work for an honest day's pay.
I've never heard any that will work for $2/hr. They can get almost that in Mexico. Generally $8-$10/hr for day laybor where I'm from- which is an hour from the mexican border.

Running from tyranny and oppression and clawing and scratching from the bottom to eek out what little scraps the wealthy elite throws their way seems to indicate a hard working, problem solving, courageous person. Sounds like a good resume to me!
