Well a question that is asked without wanting an answer is called rhetorical. Such as “You don't expect me to go along with that crazy scheme, do you?”... This type of question is often used to make a point. But that doesn't answer your question as that is not what you asked.
A question that doesn't actually have an answer is different all together and your question may actually be a prime example of this.
I don't know. I suppose a question with no answer is like a theory or hypothesis. Its a thought or idea that is put out there but has not been explored enough yet to actually have a finite response. I would call it an 'unresolved question'
I don't know if there is an official word for it. But I hope I have gone some way to resolving your question with no answer.
