Because that is the definition of a teenager. Look up the word "bored" in the dictionary, and you'll see a picture of a teen right next to it.

Lots of things cost money. Money is something young people don't tend to have a lot of. Another block is the lack of a car (or money for a taxi.) My area has little to no public transportation. That leaves a small regular loop of things to do. After years and years of growing up in the same city the novelty has long worn off. When things become repetitive rather than fun then yes, it can be pretty darn boring.

Because they don't do the things we did, when we were teenagers. I remember when we actually went outside to do something instead of sitting at home letting electronics run our lives.

Because kids today are spoiled, their parents give them everything they could possibly want, they play with it or use it for awhile and then it sits there and collects dust. They have no imagination, when we were kids we would find things to keep us busy, I never complained to my parents that I was bored.
