i just bought 3 tubes of lansinoh from ebay for $5 and that includes shipping. the seller emailed me and said she noticed they are expired and she doesn't want to sell them to me anymore.

i think they are still safe to use and it is a great price. what does everybody else think?

It's perfectly safe to use expired Lansinoh, because it's only but wax. It is just medical grade lanolin. Some things have expiration date printed on them because it is required by law, but it doesn't mean they go bad after that date. Especially if it's creams - in this case, expiration date means only that it may not have as powerful effect as "fresh" one (this does not apply to lanolin, though). But in response to your question - YES, IT IS SAFE TO USE EXPIRED LANSINOH.

I didn't realize that that stuff went bad. I think it should be fine.

Unless.......

Sometimes, for non-perishable food items, the expiry date isn't for the product but for the container. After some point, the container will start to break down, that is probably what the expiration date is in reference to.
