Did you get his name? Call Verizon. Verizon understands peoples concerns for privacy. No business cards is kind of funny too. They are trained to be very visible with their ID. I think you were wise to be cautious. I've been playing in telecom for 25 years.

Call verizon yourself. If this man did not show credentials or was not driving a vehicle with a verizon logo on it, then it was smart of you not to sign up for anything. If there is a promotion or good deal going on , you can sign up with verizon directly and get that deal.

Call Verizon and explain your misgivings about giving out personal info to a stranger and they will be more than happy to extend the same deal to you over the phone especially since you initiated the call.

Why do you care? You did the right thing. If you want to sign up, sign up online where you know your information is relatively safe. Also, get a sign that says no soliciting and put it on your door.

Um, Call verizon and let them know the situation. If they have people running around giving out deals, then they will do it at their customer service center. I am betting to guess he was not legit.

Well, by law you don't have to give your SS# to anyone but your employer.
When I fill out anyform, I use a made up number.
Usually: 312-54-6987
You could just make up CC# too if you want.

Call Verizon and find out if they currently have a solicitor working in your neighbourhood, and what that persons name is if there is one.

Call and see if they are doing promotions. If they are, then do it over the phone, or securely. If not, then don't worry about it.
