I actually had a papercut so bad once that you could see the fatty layer of my finger! I'm not joking! I had to wear a butterfly bandage for a week...and yes...it hurt like a son of a beep.

Yes they do. I definitely sympathize with you. I keep a little tube of Anbesol in my desk drawer for that very purpose. It's a numbing agent used for toothaches. I just put a dab or two onto a paper cut and it quits hurting.
