I have so many favourite dog breeds but to name a few.... Chow Chows, Labradors, St Bernards, Boxers, Keeshonds, Bernese Mountain Dog

As for cats, I've never had a favourite breed....to be honest I could probably only name about 8 cat breeds anyway.

Rabbits, well I personally like the loppy earred ones but I dont know the actual name.

Depends on what kinda pet you want really, if you want something somewhat low maintence you could get a reptile of some kind. Leopard Gecko's make a great pet.

The best breed for a dog or a cat is one that you get from a shelter or a rescue. They are the best dogs or cats. They are so happy and thankful for giving them a happy and safe home, they'll love you FOREVER!! I've had both (rescue and a from breeders), let me tell you the rescue ones were much more lovable.

As for rabbits, the long ear floops are good.

Besides birds, I can't think of any other good pets. Birds are messy though.

If you want a cat or dog - get one from your local SPCA or a rescue shelter. They will know what the mix is and they will go over temperment and your situation with you so they can match you up with your special friend. There are lots out there that need a good home. You don't need to spend a fortune on pure bred animals. Rabbits are nice too but can be a lot of work. We have a male and had him neutered so he wouldn't spray. You can litter train them also. Larger birds are fun too but they do need a lot of attention as they are very social - and loud.

I am really surprised that small rabbits make such good house pets. They are clean, quiet and will lay on you for hours while you watch television.
They are also litter box trained.

Well I like Jack Russell Terriers for dogs.
Himalayan cats. (expensive)
Not a rabbit expert.

You could also try a bird.

I like both dogs and cats, but I also recommend rats :) They are smart, clean and don't bite like other pocket pets.

If you like couch potatos, a whippet is the ideal dog. Most bark rarely, can be trained to stay in a kennel all day. Lay around most of the time. Very low maintenance. ALso, cool to watch them run, they are very fast and want to please.
