Digital music performance over the internet. As in virtual groups with people in different locations around the world, playing live music together. You might not even have to know how to play an instrument to participate, perhaps just something like Rock Star, but far more evolved.

I think the next phase that we are seeing now is different instruments. I think "punk ska" i.e. a punk band with a brass section is one form of this. One band could replace the bass guitar with a banjo, the guitar with a violin and the drum with a xylophone.
