I like it - it's different. I have a strange name (hard to spell, difficult to pronounce on the first try), and I was really proud of it growing up. It made me stand out from the crowd - most everyone knew who I was in school. Teach your daughter to take pride in her differences, and she'll grow up to love it. Besides, an uncommon name is a great conversation-starter (I met many guys this way!), and it'll only take a few times at the beginning of the school year for the teachers to get it. After that, it almost becomes "normal." Go for it! I named my daughter something unique and have never regretted it. I prefer your original spelling of "Zaiyhle" - it's sophisticated, different, but not generic or trendy (stay away from names ending in "i").

Zaiyhle is perfect and modern too.But you're right,it's difficult to pronounce so you should spell it differently like:
Zaylee,if you want it to sound like baylee ,only with a z.

I had no clue how to pronounce it and I can't figure out why it's pronounced like Baylee..........I was thinking something like "Zale" would be how it was pronounced. I'm all for giving kids unique names, but not names that they will spend the rest of their lives telling people how to pronounce, and I don't think your spelling changes will help much either.

Drop the i and h and add an e. It will be pronounced more easily and save your child many moments of explanations and corrections for the balance of her life. Zaylee

It's nice... but will cause "name issues". If it's supposed to sound like Baylee (Bailey)... then spell it like that.
Zaylee
Zailey

Well, I think eventually she will get sick of having to pronounce and spell her name three times for everybody. A simplified version would be prudent, in my opinion.

Its cute and unique, but I definitaly wouldnt spell it like that people will get confused, I would spell it Zayleigh, Zaely, Zaylee, Zaelee, spelling it with an "ai" with make it sound like z"eye"lee...
and I would also consider making it her middle name
alison zaely
makenna zayleigh
Brianna zaylee

I am sorry but I don't like it and she will have trouble all of her life with people trying to pronounce it. Do you really want to put her through this?
