Ice melt, a regular shovel to break up the ice, and a snow shovel to move it....or get someone to plow it out of the way but that could be costly

Get a steel coal shovel and drive it into the pile to loosen it up. Then take your snow shovel and throw it. Catch your breath. Look at the pile & mutter some bad-mojo profanity at the plowdriver who was probably frikkin laughing his a$$ off as he drove by and plowed you in. Repeat.
When you are finished, plan a Florida vacation.

I cant be much help but lots of rock salt.Chip in sections with the shovel and rock and roll the car.Back and forth over and over..That is the one way to get out.Take it from a Buffalo gal.Rock and roll and it will crunch down the ice etc and the rock salt SHOULD melt it so you can at least chip it out of the way.

I'll have to remember that one.Pretty good! Now a blond joke for you! One day a blond was driving along a road when she started to cross a bridge and saw on the right, a blond sitting in a rowboat in the middle of an empty corn field trying to row her way through the field! So the blond got out of the car and went to the edge of the road and started yelling at the blond in the rowboat.''What in the world do you think your doing out there?!,she asked.''You're the type that gives us blonds a bad name, why if I could swim, I would come out there and tip that boat over!''

We had to pay someone TWICE to plow us out and there's more snow on the way so we parked our car on the street at the end of the drive so the plow will have to go around it next time. Don't try to shovel it or you'll give yourself a heart attack! It's like concrete!

Add Salts to the pile of snow, salt will lower the freezing point of water making it easier to melt off. A good method of doing this is to make a large pot of water (largest you can easily carry filled), get it near boiling, add salt until no more will dissolve, return to boil, then throw the hot water on the snow bank.

I feel your pain, but only 3 choices: keep digging, call your own snowplower, or wait for it to melt.
Do you have some nieghobors or kids that will help?
