Since bush's (by bush, I mean cheney) second inauguration he has nothing to lose. He's gonna make as much money for the rich as he possibly can. More wars, more defense contracts, and a wider divide between the rich and the poor.

They can't. It takes a lot of people, and the individual citizen. The people voted him into office, so you should be saying Americans screwed your over. Maybe it's just that I'm in the right business or something, but life has been pretty darn good for me during most of the Bush administration (and I should add that I've typically leaned Democrat). The economy has been killer; I've gotten a better job, making much more money, was able to get into a home at a great interest rate, have begun investing in my future, etc. Hell, how bad can it be when the employment rates hit lows, home ownership hit highs, wages are at highs, small businesses and big are doing great? Just because the rich may get tax cuts, doesn't mean the poor don't. The % of income being paid in taxes has decreased across the board, even more so for the poor. People have been encouraged to invest. He's made efforts to improve education and gaps have lessened between the majority and minority in skill tests. Something was done to try and help the elderly pay for perscription (albeit confusing as hell). It's unfortunate we had to go into a war based on erroneous information, but that information was given to both the President and the congress, who all decided to go to war. It's a tough thing conducting war. I don't agree with his war plan per se, but I also haven't seen many other plans I could completely back. I'd love to see us out of Iraq. I do think he could have done more regarding illegal immigration, but then he pretty much sits with the Democrats on this issue and nothing was done because his own party didn't care for his (and the Democrats) ideals, which include allowing illegals to stay and providing means for certain immigrants to get special treatment.
If you're griping, I guess I'm sorry you're one of the minority that has had it worse during the last 6-7 years. I admit they do exist and I hate to see anyone suffer or have it difficult. I do favor individual accountability, but there are times we must do a better job of taking care of our own.
Just my two cents. Hopefully we'll have a good Democratic candidate in 08'!

He is to stupid to do it alone, Dick Chaney ran Halliburton before being elected to VP. Guess what company is making Billions off of this Iraq BS. This is no war, this is a occupation. we are building permanent bases there and Hallibuton will be there subcontracting the rebuilding of the country and making sure their oil fields keep pumping oil. Guess what company that starts with a H that was thrown out of Saudi Arabia after 9-11. Halliburton was almost in Bankruptcy until the Iraq invasion. FYI.

your an idiot! I don't agree with everything our President has done, but one of the best things that he has done is his stand on the war. Did you forget about 9-11, do you want to see it happen on a lager scale. Let the Dem's take us out of the war, and see what happens. If anything President Bush needs to step it up a notch or 2. I say drop the bomb! How do you feel that the President has screwed up?

The only way I've seen Bush screw up the country is by not throwing all the illegals out. Well, that and perhaps, by not telling Pelosi and Reid to STFU and for those two to stop being so damn obnoxious and egotistical.

My *** he did. We've BEEN screwed up. George Bush just pushed us further past the point of no return (which was reached in the dropping of the A-Bomb). If you ask me, we need to elect a benevolent Existentialist Communist Dictator to buck religion and nationalism.

Is he being blackmailed by a particular group and there dares not to go their orders? It's funny thaty he still adheres to the same advisors, bedfellas, and researchers who plotted the Iraq War!

On hand he had a lot of help....On the other hand it shows how dependent this nation is on strong leadership. The absentee father routine who can ONLY identify with such a specific select group of citizens who's specialty is inaction - it encourages a spiralling pattern towards dissarray and contempt for each other.

I think 8 yrs is a good long time. I think we should amend the constitution to a single term limit for all administrative and legislative positions!!!
