Umm... I'm not sure. I once found a lizard in my house, we looked for days to try to find it, I still don't know what happend. Is it a pet snake? I'd say start in one room and go to the next. Maybe if it has any food put it in a specific place and watch that area for a little bit.

i HOPE by the time you read this, you have found the snake.....most scary! i hate them!
my husband says they will come out for warmth (like to sun themselves when outside...) they are more active at night and do like warm dark places.....keep all the doors to rooms closed....esp. in the area that you suspect it may be.....not sure what they eat...but try some meat on a dish..to trap it....good luck..

I worked with a gal whose brother lost his boa. Mom turned on the oven one day, to preheat, opened it and there was the snake, lightly toasted with it's mouth wide open.

Somewhere dark, but it will also look for warmth, so check plug points. I lost my python and found her wrapped round a plug point behind the sofa trying to keep warm.

It is cold out and if you just fed it it might went into hibernation. Check in the bottom of your closets or anywhere you might have some blankets stashed. Also you might look around in the kitchen cabnets or stove. I have found mine in such places. Even down in the couch.
