What do you mean? Like make the item name pop in the channel and you can click on it to see its stats? I think so, yeah. You probably do the same thing. Just Ctrl+Click it, I think.

I don't think so, if by user created you mean like channel /5.
Because I was in a user created channel for my class chat during a MC raid and someone wanted a link to an item and the other person had to link it in raid chat, instead of "/5mcpaladin"

I have never been able to myself, I think that the user created chat channels are more like the general chat, where linked items show up as regular text...
