There is a reason a President serves a term of 4 years instead of 1 week, 1 month, or even 1 year. It's because he needs to be able to do what he believes is in the best interest of the country long term regardless of the whims of the people. Not all decisions are popular. Our founding fathers knew this and they new a leader couldn't be hamstrung by having to run every decision by the populace. Why even have a president if we just want to use polls to determine what to do when it comes to every military decision.
It's very evident that a huge segment of our population is uninformed and oblivious to the consequences of a loss in Iraq. Thank god for the foresight of our founding fathers.

Did someone die and leave you boss? Since when does the tail wag the dog in this country? This isn't an Edgar Bergan/Charlie McCarthy act, the president doesn't grab his ankles because a bunch of ignorant liberals think they have found some new found power with this silly @ss election. Unless you haven't noticed dipstick, we're at war, and unless you aren't aware of it, the president is commander in chief, not N.Pelosi, the face lift queen of N.California.
Just shut your goddamn pie hole and let the country do it's job, you raghead lovin dweeb. We heard you spout off your total ignorance of the situation and the first inclination is to shake you everyway but loose, or at least until we have drummed some sense into your stupid head, but we know that won't happen, so as I said, just shut up!

If we ever have a president who bases their policies on current opinion polls (like Hillary does), then this country will be in chaos. The vast majority of Americans know very little about world diplomacy, foreign affairs, economic principles, etc. I don't agree with everything that Bush does, and certainly mistakes have been made. But it is ridiculous for any of us to think that Bush is brain dead and knows nothing about his job. You people who make statements like that only prove your own ignorance. I am a fairly intelligent and highly educated person, and I have been interested in politics all my life. But I am not arrogant enough to suggest that I know more about running a country than our president. Many of you seem to think that way, and you make yourself sound ridiculous.
Bush believes that he is fighting for a noble cause. He may have made mistakes along the way, but he is not willing to abandon the situation and make matters worse just because 6 out of 10 grocery store clerks think he should. Whether you agree with him or not, that is what a leader does... make tough decisions based on knowledge and experience.

He is trying to save America before the next election. The liberal Dem's, don't represent America. There was a protest vote for Dem's because the people were upset about the war in Iraq. The ultra liberal mainstream Media is responsible for that mentality.

Ummm, what exit polls did you look at? All the exit polling said corruption was the number one reason people voted against republicans, not the war. In fact most Americans said they wanted a win in Iraq, not a pull out. Bush is actually in line with what America wants.

Your perspectives are patently socialist to me. paradoxically that's socialist innovations and courses that has gotten us right here. the yank vehicle industry is tanking because of the fact of all of the study and progression positioned int Eco friendly vehicles (what u.s. "desires" and needs are 2 diverse issues) how us the chevy volt advertising. Sub-best lending wad positioned into result by ability of frannie mae and Freddie Mac (study, federal government) under Clinton (study democrat progressives) as the thank you to get domicile possession for minorities. finally our materialistic subculture incredibly has no longer something to do with the matters of jobs going over seas. the foremost culprits are the reality our flesh pressers have self assurance in the fairytail of unfastened commerce. the foremost perpetrator is welfare. that is top welfare! while human beings spend money they did no longer earn the value of each little thing is going up, a actuality economists and politicians do no longer prefer to settle for or communicate approximately. only look into the previous 2 years considering the fact that Obama started out printing money like a actual function. as a result wages could enhance and because there is greater cheap exertions exertions in Mexico, jobs bypass there and the companies, that democrats demonize, get super wealthy, i wish Mexico likes immigrants. base line, in my opinion, is that the matters dealing with us immediately have many motives that look to have started on the early twentieth century while liberal socialist policies started out to take administration. The recommendations would be greater good back by ability of as all people is a growing to be sort of based on a nanny state and politicians are resisting to admitting their coverage is misguided and are not keen to provide up their administration even over some thing they cant incredibly administration.

Um...actually, the 06 losses have a lot of basis in history. It's happened to every two-term President. Do a search for "Sixth Year Curse" or "Sixth Year Itch" - I can't remember what it's called, exactly, but you'll find it.
And at the risk of being a complete *****, considering the fact that more people in this country worry about Britney Spears than about national - let alone world - political issues, I don't *want* a gov't that listens to the people.
"The masses are asses."

Because the American people don't have the guts he does. They sway with the wind allowing anything that insn't attached be blown away, instead of standing up to the gale and beating the storm with strength.
