Accupuncture is AMAZING technology. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I do accupuncture on myself when one of more of my meridians are slugish. I only use 65-70 of the accupuncture points.

Yes, I've used accupuncture to control kidney pain and to help with insomnia and have had excellent results. However, please be sure you receive your treatments from a certified accupuncture clinic/school or someone who has earned a master's of science degree in traditional Chinese medicine. If you are treated using accupuncture by someone who has not had the correct training, either here or overseas, the treatment can do far more harm than good.

I recently tried it 2 weeks ago. I had back pain EVERY single day for 365 days and in one SINGLE session, promise, doctors, treatments, tests and nothing. Then in one single session of acupuncture my back didn't hurt that night and I was able to sleep the whole night. Same thing with a kidney infection. Now I go once a week. I am hailing the stuff, its freaking amazing!

Yes!!! I do it to help control my migraines and I did it to stop smoking too. It's very strange at first, but you get used to it quickly.
Because of the acupuncture I only have 1 or 2 migraines a year vs. every 2-3 weeks. I'm still working on the no smoking thing... keep your finers crossed.
One of my sisters does it for fibroid myalgia and another sister does it for migraines too.

While there is no denying that it works if your problem is muscles, pain or referred pain - reading a book called The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies could teach you how to help yourself.

yeah, i have tried it when i was a teenager for my nasal congestion problems, It is VERY relaxing and it would help my problem for a day or two, but was NOT effective long term. I would recommend giving it a try though at the very least, you come out feeling refreshed.

I've had it done for back and neck pain and it is amazing! It's much better than any other treatments I've received (orders of magnitude better than a Chiropractor).
