Well, to be honest, I don't think she deserves to be friends with you. First of all, things like this happen. You have a best friend, and they are best friends with other girls, or just friends. The key thing here is that when she hangs out with the other girl, she ignores you, and that is something that shouldn't happen. If she really was your friend, she would introduce you to her other friend, and hang out with both of you. It's never nice to take one side over ther other. Since she is the "middle man" she should try and be neutral. You need to talk to her first, and let her know how you feel. Eventhough you've known her longer, doesn't mean she will choose you over her. Talk to her, and see what happens. If in the end she chooses to be the other girls friend, then you are better off without her. That's a terrible thing to do, to ignore you while she's with the other. If she does that, than she is not your friend.

It is called a fair weather friend. Meaning you are only important when it is good for them. People are funny that way. They act a different way around some people and it is usually because they want this other persons approval. Three is a crowd when it comes to friends with younger people. Maybe wait till this new friend phase gets old, if she returns, okay she returns, if not it is her loss as she loses a true friend (you). Dont fret! You have better things to spend your time and efforts on. =)

Well, I can understand you feel bad about this situation, but if she says that that other friend is her best friend, you have to accept that. However, If she also says that you are her best friend you should talk to her. there cannot be 2 best friends, because that causes fights. either she has to see you both as friends instead of best friends or she has to choose who's her best friend. Still she can be your best friend, even though your not her best friend. That migh sound hard but thats for everyone a personal feeling towards someone, and if youre not her best friend, there is not much you can do about it.

maybe they arent really ignoring you...plan time for all three of you to spend time together & find some common ground to join in on conversations...this girl must share some of the same interests as your best friend, and so do you. so maybe you'll gain a new friend, too.

It doesn't matter how long you have been friends. But apparently your "best friend" likes the other girl more because she ignores you right there. Find a new best friend.Or wait a few weeks.

Sorry pippi...it sounds like you have a traitor on your hands...Not really much you can do other than expand your friend base...Find some new ones...Sorry, I know that is not what you want to hear...but there really is nothing else to do.
