Which will serve our troops better? We sure know that sooner or later democrats will pull our troops out of Iraq! So cut funding and reinforcement now and pull out later or more funding and more reinforcement now until we decide to pull out will protect our soldiers better?

Actually neither. The troops that are currently there need reinforcements so some of them may come home. Included in those are troops that have been deployed more than once and those who are part of the National Guard, who are still there and should be home by now.

Once Congressional leaders cut off funding, there will be little to nothing sent to the soldiers who are left fighting and will surely increase the chances of their demise. Without money, they cannot send weapons, ammo, protective gear, vehicles or anything else to them. This is difficult to people to understand....if you cut off their supplies, you cut their chances of survival.

This plan, no matter what Congress thinks will not serve to prove any point except their stupidity and rush to apease the public...and it is not the citizens of the U.S. who are in immediate danger.

These troops also contain part of my family and I am all for what my family believes in...and that's finishing what they've started, and for people not to be waivered by what they hear or see via media reports, which they feel are slanted toward the democratic side. They also feel it is repugnant to continually see reports of how many have died each day. As they say...'it lowers morale.'

They should know...they are there and they have access to what is going on here. They have told me the media only shows Americans the worst and never the best; and from some of the photos that are coming to me via email, prove that statement.

It is my express belief that what the soldiers feel is best for them would be best for us. Arm-chair arguments in Congress are only holding up the thing they desperately require to win this and quell the sectaran violence.

You ask a good question, except that, based on history, we DON'T know that the democrats will pull the troops out. What we know is that, even within the military, there is disagreement as to what to do next. I would support what the military consensus is to do next, whether that be more or less troops. They know better than we know as to whether the battle is going to be lost or won.

Our troops will be best served when they have an effective Dimplomatic mission worth fighting for.
Right now our nations leader wants to show his support for our troops by putting more shooting targets splat in the middle of a civil war.
If the President wants to truly support our troops he will try dimplocacy. I dont know one leader hwo wouldnt at least attmept strong foreign policy in the region, to save the lives of his constinuents.

And republicans need to take the 93 billion and get adequate equipment for every troop, and stop trying to rush through new recruits as quick as they can to put them on the front lines.
This only endagners everyone around those ill trained troops

Wait a minute. You are blaming Democrats for Bush's mistakes.
I thought Bush said himself that "major combat operations have ended" on May 1,2003?

You say that the Democrats will pull our troops out of Iraq. Funny, Bush said that he will "Leave it up to future presidents" on who will pull troops out of Iraq. In other words,Bush has no idea.
None.

And with the proper lack of body armor all along, and some troops doing 3 or 4 tours of duty, its hard to see how Democrats are to blame NOW for "cutting funding".

What will serve our troops, and all of America, is to get out of Iraq. Its Bush's bust, and we only stay at this point out of pride, regardless of the consequences(which will be felt for decades).
