Actually, if your band has a myspace, post a bulletin saying you're looking for places to stay at while on tour, like basements or something. You didn't specify how big the tour was.. like on a coast, or just in a state, or even nationwide? How much longer do you have to prepare for the tour? Maybe get jobs for a while just for extra cash. Make your own stickers or patches or whatever. It won't cost much, but you probably won't make a ton from it either. Burn your own CDs and sell demos at shows. Good luck.

Have a Chinese auction. Contact local businesses and see if they would be willing to donate something that you could incorporate into a nicely wrapped basket for a Chinese auction. Example - book basket with some books, bookmarks, tea cup and teas for relaxing while reading. Bath basket - all kinds of shower gels, etc. People love Chinese auctions here. Our animal shelter has a large one every year. We get enough stuff to make up about 100 baskets of all sizes. We charge $10 a person to get in and that includes 25 tickets. You can purchase another 25 tickets for 5 dollars. We serve refreshments. We made $2,000 on the last one. It's a lot of work though. OR have a used book sale. Lots of people give their gently used books to libraries. See if they would give them to you for a sale.

Have some friends of the Band help out and do a Car Wash and have the Band play there to help in promoting extra donations

Throw a party!! Invite friends and their friends. Charge a cover price. Have your band play the music and explain to everyone what you are throwing the party for. Good Luck!!!

You should apply for a grant. There is tons of grant money out there for musicians, and I know for a fact there is money available for touring.
