I would have to say that this is an impossible question. We are never really free. we will always be effected by something or another thing. Who ever raised us has set certain things in out mind, so we work out of that. Those who are around us now are playing some part into how we act and think. Total freedom seems to be an illusion.

i feel like such a pessimist. i hate it.

We are not free physically, our bodies got limitations and it is our nature.

Psychological freedom is the only one that we can attain.

True freedom is the dissolution of all psychological conflicts.

Conflicts come to being because we don't totally understand our desires.

To see the falseness of our desires dissolves conflicts, if we are no longer wanting what is false then our mind is peaceful.

A peaceful mind is free of all conflicts and that is true freedom.

To see the false as false is the beginning of freedom.

I find myself asking a question similar to this. Physically I am free and the only bond on my body are the earthly tethers which all people have. their flesh and blood body. but emotionally i lack this freedom. I am easily swayed into doing anything that a certain woman asks of me, no matter how small or how stupid. i think the real freedom is when you can love someone unconditionally for who they are and want to spend all your time with them and live for them.

True freedom can only be experienced within one's heart. True freedom is strong enough to withstand any physical restrictions and it is through the genuineness of one's heart that it becomes evident.

pertaining to the physical world, i'd say if i am able to exercise "freewill" then there is freedom. but true liberation is when we break free from the shackles of sin that is eating us from within. spiritual freedom is attained only when we get rid of sin.

i want to attain that level. till then though i walk free, i am still bound.

we will never know, we live in the world of the relative - so everything has a measure against something else. THere are ways in which we can loosen our constraints, but true freedom would negate our very existence.........

To live according to your authentic self and the awareness of self-without being influenced, swayed or demoralized by what other people think. Then your soul is free to breath.
