My roomates eat all the food I buy, neither of them have jobs and "dont know if they can make next months rent" and neither of them even have prospects for jobs... their cats tear up the place and they dont even care. they steal my dogs food to feed their cats with.. my boyfriend and I are fed up with this. We cant afford to support them.. we are in a year lease..any suggestions..

Please no rude answers this is a serious problem and it is seriously starting to put a strain on my bank account and my relationship.

Stop buying food. I know this can be a hassle, but keep what you can in your room. Hide the dog food also. If their names are not on the lease.. have the landlord boot them out. If they are, explain to your landlord what is going on and tell them you want to stay, but you want them out and the reasons behind your request. Also have the landlord rid you of the cats. He has the power to help you with this if you tell him your concerns.

1) tell your roomates whats going on
2) put a lock on your fridge
3) kill their animal or hide your dog food
4) tell them you will not pay for their share and you will find new roomates if they dont find a job soon.(even if it may be an empty threat)
YOU ARE NOT THEIR MOTHER!!
5) try embarrasing them by bringing some elegant people ovr while they are in their unndies eating YOUR ice cream. it might smarten them up a bit and its funny!

Tell your roomates that if they cant put up next months rent then they cant stay there anymore. maybe you can write your name on all the food cartoons you buy. it isnt fair and you shouldnt have to put with it.

Whose name(s) are on your lease? If you are the lessee and your none of your roommate's names are on the lease, then toss the bums out! If their names are included on the lease, along with yours, then I feel bad for you........because you are stuck with them. (unless you can somehow convince the owner to break the lease) Good luck!

Tell your roommates you're fed up with 'supporting' them (if a fight is necesary, fight. Than they will know you mean it), and buy everything limited.
