Do you think thats right?

What are the doing running our country if they are allowed to not vote.

Everyone running the country should have to vote, or be replaced by someone that really wants to make America better.

Imagine that. Avoiding going on the record on a potentially divisive issue.

Politicians make me sick.

Their plans were made weeks in advance and Reid just pulled his political game today. It is all politics. Isn't it convenient the Democrats have schedules that allow them to vote but the republicans are unable to return and keep their other obligations; it's almost like the Dems knew it was coming.

If you want to make America better start by not voting for candidates from the two major parties. The two party system is a breeding ground for corrution and ineffectivity.

The resolution needs 60 "AYES" to pass, just count the ones who don't show as "NAYS".

There are lots of reasons that people don't vote
on particular issues - especially when they are
non-binding.

Have you stopped beating your wife yet?
Yes or no, please. Don't shilly shally.

I am extremely opinionated about the war
but I recognize that the wording of the
resolution is EXTREMELY important. The one in
front of the House is simple enough, I guess
but the various ones that went in front of
the Senate would justifiably give anyone
pause before they signed it.

And this is ignoring more mundane reasons
such as being stuck in a hospital barely alive
or in a committee meeting over some law
that is actually binding.

It just shows you that they are cowards. What I find interesting is the Blue Dog vote. Now they can explain why they voted as they did.

I foresee some "Blue Christmas's" for those Dogs.

notice its the republicans that arent going to vote though. they dont want that on their record, because they know the american people hate this war. voting on this would hurt their chances even more. the democrats are rescheduling their campaign stops so they can be there.

Interesting, and not the least bit surprising, given the tap dance that is politics today. I'll have to look that up. Where'd you get your info? Anything posted somewhere?

I agree and I think people should take serious the fact if someone chooses not to take an offical stance whether it be for or against.

They want us to wait until they get elected before we know where they stand. How spineless. Can we trash the entire system and start all over?
