You should probably concentrate on the predominant movement of the time: Pop Art. Andy Warhol was the public face of this movement - but there are other people associated with it who arguably made better if not more interesting work than Warhol. Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein and Johns to name a few.
Pop Art was primarily a reaction to a swiftly growing consumer culture in America that put very little value on authenticity and instead valued things made cheap and fast.
Warhol once remarked, "I want to be a machine."
In the first link below, navigate along the left side to the section on Pop Art.
The second link takes you to a fairly good book on the subject that contains writing from the 60s.
The third link takes you to one of the best art history books around focusing on Modern art. It does a good job of putting Pop Art in context.
Woodstock was an event not an art movement.

I would research how drug experimenatation influenced the artistic world and art movements, which Woodstock would be considered an extension of the drug experimentation which formulated our present views on society ,both good and bad.
John Lennon's interviews in Playboy magazine are very interesting in which he talks about the "drug " days and when all four of them were mostly "high" when marooned in hotel rooms in the mid 60's.

why don't you please go to your local library and find ACTUAL REAL LIFE BOOKS on the subject. you can't trust the internet to give you correct information. its going to be other peoples opinions. create your own.
also woodstock was NOT an art movement, it was a music festival.

Check-out the works of Peter Max. Just dial his name in and click. He was a big influence in those days. He made the black-light poster popular for one. Click away man also on related art. It was and still is Far Out Man.
