I mean, what do you want from them. What are your expectations, realistic or unrealistic...I am not looking for party lines here, so please keep partisian politics aside for a moment. What do you want your elected officials to do? Fiscal responsibility, quit after so many terms, get special projects for your district, stop pork spending etc.?

I expect them to find a diplomatic solution to all this chaos. Strengthen our borders and then deal with our country. The problem is that Politicians are getting paid for not doing anything about illegals. And most are upset with the illegals that are only here to work, and pay taxes if they are allowed. It's convenient to keep them illegal to exploit them and then enjoy the profits. Do you really think that we cannot find a solution for this issue? We can, but money talks, and in the interim, the weak are being discriminated against instead of that anger being focused on our politicians, where it really belongs.

I want them to vote on what is right for America and Americans REGARDLESS of what it does for their re-election chances. They were elected not to build a cushy nest, but to enact legislation that is consistent with the Constitution for the good of America.

Anything else is corruption.

I'd like to see them listen to the people that elected them.

I would say "listen to the people who pay them", but that could imply special interest money.

I would love to see them work towards what is truly best for the country and its citizens, not grow their own wallets and increase their power.
