hair dryer, and next time there is a storm you should go out and tape some cheap but good blankets on the seams of doors. and it wouldn't hurt to make one so you can lay over you car, so the doors don't stick.

Since all the hinges and springs to a garage door are inside the door it should not have frozen, if they did freeze just put a heater inside the garage until they thaw. If you are talking about an automatic garage door opener then pull the cord that hangs from the bottom of the motor and that converts the door to manual operation so you can pull it open. I sure hope this information got back to you in time before you starved, or whatever.-

what miyavihacker said but i don't know about the car, you didn't ask about that, and i wouldn't put hot water on it cause when you close the garage door and if the water isn't gone all the way the door will just freexe shut again, so i think the blanket idea works, but until then i would get some cheap hairdryers and go to work. sorry i cant help you but i am across the world probably. ^_^ byebye.

Pour hot water at the bottom of the door and then put some rock salt down to keep it from happening again.

If the lock is frozen, heat your key with a match. Sometimes people open a frozen lock with hot water. That will open it, but the hot water will freeze pretty soon.

Can you pour hot water along the bottom of the door to cause it to release? It is probably frozen to the floor.

If you have AAA they can probably set you up with a moving company to dig it out and get it home safely
