How do I start my own childrenswear line?

I will be receiving my BFA in fashion design in May. Id like to start my own childrens line and am not quite sure how to go about it. If you have any experience in the fashion industry and know how to go about this than please reply. Thank You

I worked for Gymboree for 6 years and know that first you need to design your clothing line and make outfits to physically present to your potential client and take that to your local childrens clothing store and ask them to let you put your clothing on consignment in their store....Just remember that you aorporate companies, such as gymboree...childrens place...etc make their own clothing so that would be a waste of your time to approach them....also another thought for you is to open your own childrens consignment store in your area and maybe once things get rolling you can do sells over the internet.
