This is what the question says :
For the following two questions imagine that you are the chairperson for a meeting and explain how you would handle the situation described.
1) A voice vote has been taken on a motion, but it is not clear whether the majority is in favor of the motion. Somone at the meeting calls for a "division of the house".
2) An amedent has been made to a motion and the amendment has been voted down.

Looks like you need to brush up on Parlimentary Procedures.

"Voice vote A vote by voice is the regular method of voting on any question that does not require more than a majority vote for its adoption. "

"the chair may call for a Division of the Assembly by taking a rising vote or a rising, counted vote. Any member can demand a rising vote by calling out 'Division!'"

"When it is time to vote, the president conducts a vote to determine if the amendment passes. A majority is needed. If the amendment passed, discussion follows on the motion as amended." - if it doesn't pass you go back to talking about the original motion...
