As often as I can. It is not only our right but our responsibility to keep authorities in check. We need to continually remind them, and each other, that authority is merely an implied power. Our freedom is what's important. It seems more and more often that gets shrouded by an illusion of safety. More laws, more law enforcement, more control, less freedom(not ability) to speak and move, but its "for our own good". There is no security blanket that will save us from the nature of the world. Our awareness and involvement in what's going on around us and in our own lives is our best defense. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are rights granted me by the Constitution as a citizen of the United States. I celebrate and defend and promote these rights, and remind myself and those around me every day how fragile they could be.

Why would anyone need to do something like that? Is there a specific mandate somewhere in the universe's code that we push the limits of our natural rights in some way every day? That doesn't seem particularly productive to me.
