To add to my problems I thanks all of you who replied so quickly. Her Dad was very abusive to her when she was young called he ***** and whatever else she felt like I was the one protecting the kids when there were small when I divorced my ex my daughter lived with me but since I didn't have the money her dad had she left me to go live with him and I have never measured up since.

we protect them as much as we can and only later realize that perhaps they didnt want to be protected,you have done what you know to be right dont let either of them put you down because of money or material things if you to back up now it might prove them right,stand your ground // you measured up a long time ago if you let them put you where they want you what kind of a person would you be........good luck and God Bless

Imagine for a moment that your grandson is 21...that's pretty much my position in my family. How to deal with it? Confront her about it, ask her about things, try to get things out in the open and deal with the unresolved issues that seem to exist. I wish to God my family had done that because our family dynamics would give Dr. Phil a run for his money.

sit her down and tell her look its my house my rules and if you dont like then we can find you a nice cardboard box to live in and im trying my best and it may not be what you would call perfect and im sorry but i still love you very much
