Of course they're bot corrupt. But its a question of relativity--we pick the best of a bad lot. If you want longer-term options, we as a people need to become engaged in the political process--and not just by voting. Politicians will become less corrupt when the American people hold them accountable. We made a good start last November. But its only a start toward cleaning up the cesspool Washington has become.
BTW--that does apply to BOTH parties. The GOP is on the hot seat right now, to be sure (and with good reason, they deserve it). But corruption isn't partisan--it shows up everywhere.

I agree with you 100%. That's why I've been voting for the Green candidate for years and years. Not because they are from the Green party, but because they don't take corporate money and I usually like what that candidate has to say. Because they aren't influenced by corporate money, I know they would do and act exactly what they say. The Dems and Repubs just blow smoke up the people'sasses.

Maybe we should all vote for the Independent Party then.
I think if many Dems and Rebs left for the Independent Party, they would be forced to clean up their act, but unfortunately, most Americans only like change theoretically, not so much practically.

ABSOLUTELY KELLY. Get inside the Beltway and its all corrupt. 90% of the members of Congress and the Senate are millionaires. I'm sure they all relate well to the "little guy." Its all about the power and money. Lived near D.C.--been there done that. Never again...........................

most of the voters can't be bothered to do the work that inteligently casting a ballot entails. So it's easier for them to get their opinions by watching one source and be the good little party sheep.

The money and the benefits that are allowed our representatives is ridicules, not to mention lobbyist, and pressure from their contributors. The root of the problem is simply money.
